Alaska High Mountain Images

I love photography and being able to capture the natural world in its unlimited varieties of beauty. I am often surprised and stunned by what’s out there. I am continually aware that I live a life touched by grace, and I am privileged to record some of it. I have lived in Alaska with my family for over 20 years, and some of the images have an adventure or two connected with them, and I will include some of these stories as time permits. Most of the images are of Alaska, but there are some that come from other places as well.

"Light in the Darkness" is a foundational theme which I am drawn to over and over in some form or another. It is a truth which is goes deep for me in my life, and my art reflects that. As much as I am drawn to the natural beauty around us, what makes it all so compelling for me is that there is a reality behind the physical and visible which is far more substantive. Every landscape, every portrait, and every composition is a window through which comes the treasure of the unseen.

The true richness of a wonderfully designed and built home goes much deeper than the physical building. The real satisfaction comes from growing in understanding and even knowing the architect and builder of such a place. My hope for all who visit here is that you find just such a connection.
